Our Team

Melissa is a dedicated educator and program leader with expertise in work-based learning and career preparation. Currently serving at DC Public Schools, Melissa leads strategic initiatives to expand internship opportunities and manage partnerships that support DCPS students. Melissa began her career in education and passion for post-secondary planning as a high school mathematics teacher in Camden, NJ. Later, she went on to teach hospitality & tourism and English in the Netherlands while conducting research on the Dutch education system. Melissa holds a master's degree in Education Policy, Organization, and Leadership Studies and a bachelor's degree in mathematics.
