Abby McKenna is a postsecondary access professional specializing in creating meaningful opportunities for students from historically underserved communities. As an Industry Engagement Manager with the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE), Abby administers key initiatives to strengthen career pathways for high school students across Washington, DC. Abby brings together employers, educators, and workforce partners to align K-12 programming with evolving industry needs. She coordinates closely with school staff to support implementation to ensure students have equitable access to high-quality work-based learning experiences, including paid internships. Prior to joining OSSE, Abby served as a non-profit leader at Genesys Works, managing programs and teams that connect high school students to internships, postsecondary pathways, and long-term support.

Abby brings a strong foundation in stakeholder engagement, data-informed decision making, and program implementation. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from The College of William & Mary. Passionate about expanding opportunity, she is committed to building equitable systems that help young people envision and achieve their goals.
