Convenings

Across DC, people are doing powerful work to help young people succeed after high school — but too often, they're doing it alone.

The Collaborative brings the city's postsecondary ecosystem together: advisors, educators, workforce leaders, nonprofits, policymakers, and funders working toward a shared goal. Through convenings and community-building, we create space to learn from one another, strengthen practice, and coordinate action.

We believe postsecondary success happens when the adults supporting students are connected, equipped, and working together — so that every young person in DC can find their path.

Our flagship annual convening brings together hundreds of people shaping postsecondary success across DC— advisors, educators, nonprofit leaders, workforce partners, policymakers, funders, and more.

The Summit is a space to step out of day-to-day silos and look at the bigger picture together: the data behind student outcomes, the barriers young people face, and the strategies helping them thrive. Each year, it sharpens our shared understanding of where DC is making progress, where gaps remain, and what should guide our work ahead.

Launching this winter, the Practitioner Forum creates focused space for the people working directly with students - advisors, educators, navigators, and coaches.

Where the Summit takes in the whole ecosystem, the Practitioner Forum goes narrow and deep: a gathering for learner-facing professionals to share what’s working, troubleshoot common challenges, and strengthen the relationships that make this work possible.
