Note: Each of the items listed below are best practices. We ask presenters to do their best to honor this checklist, but we acknowledge that we are all learning and growing together.
Formatting, Slides, and Handouts
Sans-serif font, minimum 24-point font size. View a list of suggested fonts here.
Slides have appropriate color contrast between the foreground and background elements
Slides and other media are free of flashing or flickering visual effects or transitions
UDL (Universal Design Learning) Principles
Participants can engage in multiple ways (ex: allow participants to speak, type their responses in the chat, or respond via other interactive tools)
Breakout Rooms
Instructions for the breakout room activity are provided in writing and verbally
Participants can opt out of participation or participate in a different way
Clear guidance is provided about how participants should report out from the breakout room activity
Virtual Facilitation
Zoom captions are enabled
Speakers are introduced and described with a brief visual description
Descriptions are provided for images & graphics
Pertinent comments from the chat are read out loud
