Our Team

Julia Hellmich is the Managing Director of the KIPP Forward program at KIPP DC, leading a team that has served more than 3,000 students on their path through college and career. Over the past 15 years in Washington, DC, she has served as a special education teacher, college and career counselor, and postsecondary success leader, dedicating her work to expanding opportunity for students and families. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Development from Cornell University and a Master’s degree in Special Education from George Mason University. Through her leadership, Julia strives to ensure that every student has the guidance, resources, and community needed to thrive beyond high school.
