Matthew Brown hails from Prince George's County, MD. After earning his bachelor's in Child development, followed by his master's in Social work, Matthew has immersed himself in the D.C. public and charter school system for over a decade. Matthew is a strong advocate for students, ensuring they have the opportunity to pursue the maximum opportunities possible for them. His core values are authenticity, integrity, empowerment, and community. Matthew currently serves at Maya Angelou Public Charter School as their Postsecondary Success Counselor, where he diligently strives to provide students with the resources needed to explore their desired pathways upon graduating high school.
