Our Team

DL Wilhite is an educator and advocate with over 11 years of experience helping students, families, and communities navigate their paths to academic, social-emotional, and postsecondary success. He currently leads College and Career Access at Garnet-Patterson STAY Opportunity Academy in Washington, D.C., where he works to ensure every student has the tools and support they need to thrive beyond high school.

DL has supported students and graduates across several Washington, D.C. high schools and began his career as a teacher in Dallas, Texas, and Minneapolis, Minnesota. His work is driven by a deep commitment to creating opportunities and amplifying the voices of the communities he serves.

DL earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota and his master’s degree from Southern Methodist University.
