Griselda Macias
Director of Strategic Partnerships & Community Impact, New Futures
Collaborative Advisory Committee Member
Griselda Macias brings over 15 years of experience building communities of support and advancing equity for young people navigating systemic barriers to education and opportunity. Her passion for this work began in college, where she saw firsthand the challenges her Black and Brown peers—and her own family—faced not only in accessing higher education but also in persisting through it. Since then, she has dedicated her career to ensuring that first-generation students have the guidance, resources, and encouragement they need to thrive.
She currently serves as the Director of Strategic Partnerships & Community Impact at New Futures, where she leads efforts to expand the organization’s support ecosystem through strategic relationships and community collaboration. In this role, she also works to amplify alumni voices and highlight their contributions as industry professionals driving economic impact across the region.
Previously, Griselda served at the Latin American Youth Center, where she provided mentorship, advising, financial resources, and college-readiness programming—including through the Bard College Clemente Course—to help young people pursue postsecondary pathways aligned with their goals.
A proud first-generation college graduate, Griselda holds a B.A. in Communications and Public Relations, with a minor in Political Science, from Carroll University.
