The DC Postsecondary Success Collaborative brings together professionals and educators across the District who work with DC youth and residents on post-high school, academic, and career success. Our goal is to improve our education and advising systems to ensure that all DC youth and residents have long-term career goals and strong pathways for achieving them.

As part of our work, we want to hear from alums of DCPS, DC public charter schools, and GED/diploma programs on their experiences both in and after high school/GED or diploma programs. Did you feel prepared for life after high school? Did you have a plan? Did you feel supported by your school, your family, your other support systems? What do you wish you had more or less of? Your insight is invaluable and we welcome you to apply for our Youth Advisory Council. This application will close at 5pm EST on Friday, December 6th.

Here are the details if you are accepted:

  • Attend three feedback focus groups total - one in February, one in March, and one in April

  • If you attend all meetings and engage fully, you will receive a $500 stipend at the end of April

  • Opportunity to network with professionals across DC

  • Opportunity to present at the DC Postsecondary Success Summit on March 21st
